YAEL DAGON

A musician from a young age, Yael grew up in a kibbutz close to nature, and her musical work has been greatly influenced by the natural environment in which she was raised. For her, music is a bridge between worlds, a language, and a means of healing. It embodies harmony, wisdom beyond words, and creates a shared space where the connection is deep, meaningful, and opens hearts.

Yael began studying classical mandolin at the age of 9, and as she grew older, she continued her studies at the Jerusalem Academy of Music. After two years of studies, she was introduced to the master Michalis Kontaxakis and embarked on a journey to Crete to study under him. Yael developed her unique style from her experiences, discovering the magic of connecting with other musicians through live performance—the authentic, heartfelt improvisation that creates a profound experience of presence and internal connection for listeners, both with themselves and others.

During her childhood, alongside her classical mandolin studies, Yael was also immersed in electronic music. She was exposed to different audiences at open-air parties and clubs (through her older brother), all sharing a deep connection to electronic music, its powerful beat, and the dynamic dance floor. This incredible world deeply moved her and became a significant part of her creative evolution.

The unique combination she was exposed to instilled in her the understanding that her creation is intertwined with both worlds, and her journey and exploration are about connecting them.

Her sound is modern, with a strong, uncompromising, tribal electronic beat, combined with live playing that conveys emotion and the moment. This combination reflects in her music the energy present in the space, allowing the audience to soar to new heights and achieve a personal, internal connection through dance, listening, and movement.
